It has been an exciting month. At the beginning of May I had the pleasure of Music Directing a concert of "And Then I Wrote A Song About It" at 54 Below here in NYC. With book by Eric Weinberger, music by Dan Acquisto and Lyrics by Sammy Buck, starring Nick Cearley (The Skivvies). The room was filled and Nick, as always, was captivating to watch. I also had the pleasure of playing the show with the composer himself, Dan Acquisto, on the drums. It has always been a dream of mine to perform in that space and I'm so happy it was with a show that means so much to me.
Broadwayworld.com was kind enough to post some highlights here:http://www.broadwayworld.com/cabaret/article/STAGE-TUBE-Watch-Highlights-of-Nick-Cearley-in-AND-THEN-I-WROTE-at-Feinsteins54-Below-20160525
On June 1st I performed my songs at The Duplex. The crowd was so enthusiastic it was infectious. Probably the most fun I've had performing in years. The next night I assisted my best friend Gracie Lee Brown in her cabaret debut "Goodnight, Gracie". It was also a huge success
I will be spending my summer in the beautiful Steamboat Springs teaching at Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp. Keep checking back for further updates.
Thanks for listening.
