I'm beyond excited to announce that my song cycle The Things We Never Say will be produced this summer at Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Perry Mansfield has been educating and inspiring youth performers for over 100 years. The beautiful scenery and excellent faculty has provided me with so much support and inspiration the last four years I've spent my summers there.
It's February which means we are well into the new year and the shit show that is Donald Trump's term. The good news is art doesn't stop and as artists we will continue to tell the stories that fight the good fight.
January was a spectacular month filled with a lot of music and laughs. On New Year's Eve me and a good friend used our energy to protest the #notmypresident Trump. A few days later I flew down south to perform Eric Weinberger's autobiographical one man musical, with music by Dan Acquisto and lyrics by Sammy Buck, at The Red Barn Theatre in gorgeous Key West, FL. Nick Cearley reprised his role as Randall Klausner, the quadruple threat, and touched the hearts of many including Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund, who surprised us by coming to one of the performances. Hal Howland crushed it on the drums! It was a wonderful start to 2017. Images from that are below.
Here's what's coming up!
